Taiwan Server
1. why choose original taiwan ip instead of transit or shared ip
(1) the original ecological ip is directly allocated by taiwanese operators (such as chunghwa telecom), with shorter routes and lower delays.(2) transit ips are often forwarded through overseas nat or third parties, and there is a higher risk of packet loss and jitter.
(3) shared ips can easily be abused to cause blacklisting, affecting email delivery, api requests and seo crawler access.
(4) the original ecological ip is convenient for reverse dns, whois binding and independent as routing, which is conducive to compliance and filing.
(5) in ddos attack scenarios, original ecological ip can more directly connect to the cleaning capabilities of the operator layer and reduce the impact of amplified attacks.
2. how to quickly determine whether an ip is original through network data
(1) do bgp as path query: the original ip should belong to the as number of taiwan isp (for example, as9808 chunghwa telecom).(2) query through whois: check whether the ip segment registration information shows taiwan postal code/organization.
(3) use traceroute to observe the jump point: if there is an overseas or nat device in the middle, it is often not original.
(4) measure latency and packet loss rate: original latency is usually <20ms and packet loss is <0.5%, and transit/sharing is often higher than this.
(5) check reverse dns and ptr records: real domain names and isps can be bound to enhance credibility.
3. real case: troubleshooting and solving the problem of an e-commerce company being banned
(1) background: a taiwanese e-commerce company uses a so-called "taiwan proxy" to make upstream api requests, which are frequently rejected by the payment gateway.(2) troubleshooting: traceroute shows that it flows through transit nodes in singapore and hong kong, and whois shows that it is an overseas custodian.
(3) data: the test delay was 48ms, the packet loss was 2.7%, and the payment system returned "ip array exception".
(4) solution: change to chunghwa telecom’s original ip /24, configure reverse dns and public network ptr and report it to the payer.
(5) results: the delay dropped to 12ms, the packet loss dropped to 0.1%, and the payment gateway resumed normal access.

4. technical testing examples and comparison table (centered table)
please refer to the test comparison below. the left side is the original taiwan ip, and the right side is the transit/shared ip test results:| property | original taiwanese ip | transit/shared ip |
| average latency (ms) | 12 | 48 |
| packet loss rate (%) | 0.1 | 2.7 |
| bgp as | as9808 (chunghwa telecom) | as45678 (overseas custody) |
5. actual server/vps configuration examples and suggestions
(1) recommended basic configuration: 4 vcpu, 8gb ram, 100gb nvme, 1gbps public network bandwidth, taiwan’s native public network ip.(2) system and network: ubuntu 22.04 + iptables/nftables + bbr congestion control enabled.
(3) ip and reverse resolution: /32 public network ip is required, and ptr binding and whois information customization are supported.
(4) protection: access operator l3/l4 cleaning (up to 10gbps+) and cooperate with cloud cdn for caching and rate limiting.
(5) monitoring strategy: deployment delay, packet loss, bgp routing change alarms (combined with prometheus + grafana).
6. purchasing process and operational considerations
(1) supplier qualifications: priority will be given to suppliers who can issue ip segment details and asn information, and ask for whois screenshots.(2) contract terms: state ip exclusivity, reverse resolution, bandwidth peak and ddos cleaning responsibilities.
(3) pre-launch testing: the supplier is required to conduct a 7×24h trial run and provide traceroute and mtr reports.
(4) cdn and ddos: for website businesses, it is recommended to use three layers of protection: " taiwan native ip + local cdn node + cloud cleaning".
(5) long-term maintenance: regularly check whether the ip has been blacklisted, and save routing and whois change records for backtracking.
